At P & J Tender Care
our core belief is that when you provide a nurturing, safe and positive environment for all children; it will ensure that the child's physical, mental, social as well as their emotional health needs are all being nurtured to grow and develop the child's well-adjusted personality and citizenship. Curriculum
The Creative Curriculum® is the project-based curriculum utilized by the centers. The curriculum promotes social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language skills of children through hands-on learning experiences. Creative Curriculum is an approach to teaching children from birth to preschool age. It helps the teaching staff to plan appropriate learning experiences that promote and support children's learning and progress. We believe that children learn through playing. Our classrooms are designed to improve learning in multiple areas to help enhance learning experiences.
In addition to Creative curriculum, all of our classrooms use Teaching Strategies Gold Online for child assessments and individual child portfolios. It helps the teaching staff to plan appropriate learning experiences that promote and support children's learning and progress. We believe that children learn through playing. Our classrooms are designed to improve learning in multiple areas to help enhance their learning experience.

Preschool
P & J Tender Care partners with the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education to provide enhanced preschool classes taught by licensed teachers.

Collaborations
P&J Tender Care centers collaborate with state agencies to ensure that all have access to quality day care. We have working relationships with various agencies across the Quad Cities to offer training and referral services for families.

Health and Safety
Our staff is fully trained in First Aid and CPR. We work to maintain the safety of our students and staff at all times in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
Your child's safety is a top priority of P&J Tender Care. This is why all of our classrooms are video monitored all day, every day. Also, a special passcode set up by you and one of our staff members ensures that only you and scheduled guests can enter the building to visit or pick up a child.

Both of our P & J Tender Care locations have also received Illinois ExceleRate Silver Circle of Quality. All of our classrooms curriculum and lessons follow Illinois Early Learning Standards.

Nutrition
At P&J Tender Care we believe that nutrition is an important part of every child's physical well-being. We provide healthy breakfasts, lunches and afternoon snacks. Food allergies and special dietary needs are addressed on an individual basis.
